Blast House Video featuring Blueheels

posted Nov 15, 2010, 9:45 AM by Landon Arkens
Here's a video taken in the Studio A live room at Blast House Studios.  All of the audio was tracked simultaneously- No overdubs!  The studio allows for remarkable isolation while maintaining excellent sight-lines between the players so that musicians can feed off of each other, rather than depending on a click track to stay together.  The audio for this video has been mostly unchanged from how it was recorded, so as to show off the quality of Blast House's preamps, compressors, and EQs.

The video was shot and edited by Ryan Heraly.  He's become very familiar with the room, its lighting characteristics, and where he's allowed to stand so that the audio being recorded doesn't suffer.  Blast House has teamed up with him and now offers his services to clients interested in getting footage and making videos of their recording session.
